Birds are sent through a mechanical counter where they are recorded via sensor technology.
Shackled birds travel through a counter on a stainless steel frame with the breast facing toward the center of a deflection wheel. Once in the counter module, a centering wheel pushes the bird outward to activate the sensor and increase the count by one. A live display tracks the number of chickens passing through the module. Empty shackles are not counted to ensure accuracy.
