The QGS lets processors grade products on many specs, including wing, drumstick and breast quality. Grading recipes are accessible anytime for production requirements, complete with numerous grading application options, specific to each processor.
Shackled birds are photographed by a high-resolution CCD camera inside a lighting cabinet. Against a backboard backdrop, images are captured to show both quality and defects, the latter of which may include blood spots, bruises, burns, torn skin or missing parts and more.
