The Thai New Year at Meyn Asia
During Songkran, also called the Water Festival, for the young Thai and tourists it is mostly about throwing water. But behind the fun of throwing water, there is a deeper meaning.
The traditional Songkran practices the good habit of sprinkling the hand palms of the elderly with odor water, as a token of respect and symbolic cleaning. This way all the sins and setbacks of the past year are washed away, making place for a fresh start of the new year.
At Meyn Asia, General Manager Mr. Khun Nopakoon Suchai and Senior Area Sales Manager Jacques Kramp spoke the new year's wishes to their staff. In return, the hands of both 'seniors' were sprinkled.
