The Feet Scalder M1.0 treats the skin on the birds' feet to make it easier to remove during de-skinning. Skin is loosened by soaking the feet in hot water. After this, the skin is effortlessly removed.
The birds' feet are placed in the scalding tank via a feed funnel. A heat exchanger makes certain the water temperature remains static during scalding. Similar to a chiller bath, an electrically driven corkscrew keeps the birds’ feet fully immersed to continually loosen the skin as it drives them forward toward an outlet chute. There, the feet are removed and sent via conveyor to the feet de-skinner.
