In the plucking line, birds pass through a series of pluckers equipped with motor driven rotating discs. Easy and simple adjustments in finger height and width, even during production, provide excellent results.
Shackled birds are fed into the plucker where the discs closely follow the contours of the bird and a water jet removes the plucked feathers. This attack-style plucker provides excellent results to remove the most easily accessible feathers. Efficiency and ease of use are key features of Meyn's plucking equipment and our precision in operation provides optimum plucking results with minimal skin damage.
