The shackled birds are led on an overhead conveyor through the stunning bath where only their heads are immersed. Two electrodes connect, one in the bath and another connected to the shackle guide, which completes a circuit charge that runs through the bird’s body. Meyn’s Quest M1.0 delivers a high frequency stun at either 400, 1,000 or 2,000 Hz. The bird is rendered unconscious and feels no pain when slaughtered.
