The Tail feather puller removes most of the long tail feathers. Removing feathers with a dedicated plucker is more effective as the main pluckers can be set to work in other areas of the carcass in a gentler fashion.
The pulling mechanism consists of two stainless steel rollers, placed above each other and rotating in opposite directions. Feathers are guided between the rotating rollers, which pulls the feathers between them and off the follicle. A guide above the rollers protects the thighs from damage. The machine is equipped with a water spray system to drain dirt and feathers.
