The Waterbath Stunner uses a humane electrical stun to render birds unconscious. This is essential to the utility of the future kill and bleed out processes. The unit can provide either a conventional Waterbath Stunner or a High Frequency Quest Stunner.
The shackled birds are led through the water bath stunner via an overhead conveyor with only their heads immersed. One electrode in the bath is connected to a control unit while the other is attached to the stainless steel shackle guide. Once submerged, the circuit charge is completed between the water bath and the shackle, which travels throughout the bird's body.
