Phase out of obsolete whole bird quality grading systems

The upgrade modules are:
• Meyn DGS-WB M1 Front Camera Upgrade module 0037.2395 
• Meyn DGS-WB M1 Front and Back Camera Upgrade module 0037.2019 
As of the end of 2023, EU regulations prohibit the production and sale of fluorescent tubes, limiting our ability to provide replacement lighting. Currently, no LED or alternative replacement lights are available for this system.

To manage this transition fairly and systematically, we have established the following guidelines: 
• End of life 3870 QGS M1 systems delivered before 2015: Replacement light tubes available until the end of 2027. Upgrade sets or replacement spares are no longer available. Customers    should switch to our new Multi Vision Quality Grading as soon as possible to ensure reliable operations. 
• For 3870 QGS M1 systems delivered between 2015 and 2020: Replacement lighting will be available until the end of 2030. Upgrade sets are still available, but the five-year lighting replacement limit still applies. We recommend switching to our new Multi Vision Quality Grading Systems within two years. 
• For 3872 QGS M2 systems (2020–2024): Full support will be available until the end of 2030. After 2030, spare parts and support will be offered on a best-effort basis only. 
• For customers who have installed the above mentioned Meyn DGS-WB M1 upgrade modules in the past five years: Full support and replacement lights will be available until the end of 2030.

Multi Vison Quality Grading The new Multi Vision camera system has proven its performance benefits and reliability in the market. Key benefits include: 
• AI grading and side cameras provide superior grading results. Multiple Customer mentioned an improvement from around 85% correct A grades to 99%, virtually eliminating the need for manual grading and rehanging of birds by the packing crews 
• Intuitive user interface lets customers precisely select their quality requirements and adjust settings to optimize the balance between volume and quality 
• Compact camera tubes with integrated non-flashing LED lighting fit easily into any line and will require virtually no maintenance 

Notes 
Multi Vision Quality Grading will require Distribution 5.1 or higher. Full integration of Multi Vision Quality Grading data with Meyn Connect will be available from Meyn Connection version 2.1 onwards. In version 1.3, the combined weight and quality reports are available, but the standalone quality report is not available in Meyn Connect. However, data reporting will be offered for the Multi Vision systems in the second half of 2025. For more information please contact the product Manager WGL.
