Phase out whole bird quality grading systems
Meyn supplied the 3870 QGS-WB M1.0 whole bird quality grading system from 2002 to 2019 and the 3872 QGS M2 systems from 2020 until 2024. These systems have now been replaced by our new Multi Vision Quality Grading System which offer superior grading performance, an intuitive user interface and a durable maintenance free design
For the 3870 QGS-WB M1.0 most electronic, computer, and camera components are no longer available. Therefore, Meyn has made following decisions:
- End of life 3870 QGS M1 systems delivered before 2015: These systems are obsolete. Upgrade sets or replacement spares are no longer available. Customers should upgrade to our new Multi Vision Quality Grading
- For 3870 QGS M1 systems delivered between 2015 and 2020: Upgrade sets are available, but replacement parts can only be guaranteed until 2030. We recommend switching to our new Multi Vision Quality Grading Systems within the next two years.
- For 3872 QGS M2 systems (2020–2024): Full support will be available until the end of 2030. After 2030, spare parts and support can be offered on a best-effort basis only.
- For customers who have installed Meyn DGS-WB M1 upgrade modules between 2020 and 2025: Full support will be available until the end of 2030. After 2030, spare parts and support can be offered on a best-effort basis only.
